Shiza Qurashi is a distinguished lawyer, human rights activist, mentor, policy and strategy advisor, trainer, and speaker. She currently serves as the Head of Legal at Project SALAM by Saad Ahsan Residency and Citizenship and Also hold the portfolio of Legal head of the Project. She brings together her expertise in litigation, research, and strategy with a passion for building spaces where law is not only practiced but also understood, shared, and reimagined for collective empowerment. Her vision is to leads with a human-centric approach to ensure safe, efficient, and accessible legal solutions for overseas Pakistanis and communities at home.
She holds and LL.B from the university of Punjab and is currently pursuing her Bar at Law from BPP London. She holds the standing of an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan. Shiza has built her career around justice, accountability, and reform. She is the founder of Lahore’s first all-woman law firm and law clinic, Legal Prism Law Clinic & Research Centre, a pioneering platform dedicated to women-led representation, legal awareness, and research-based advocacy.
Shiza is recognized as a national stakeholder in the fight against human trafficking and bonded labor. She contributed to the National Action Plan, launched a helpline for survivors, and continues to provide free legal representation to vulnerable women. For these efforts, she was honored with the Best Human Rights Lawyer Award by APAC UK (2025).
Her expertise is sought after in both policy-making and advocacy. She is a member of the Committee for Human Trafficking under the Home Department, Government of Punjab, and serves on the Board of Patrons at the Cybersecurity and Intellectual Property Association (CIPA). She has collaborated with leading organizations including the US state department, UNICEF, Punjab Women Protection Authority, SSDO, PJN, and others on gender justice, child rights, technology-facilitated violence, and protection of marginalized groups.
As a trainer and speaker, Shiza has represented Pakistan on international platforms, including the Asia-Pacific Forum for Women 2025 in Sri Lanka, and is a regular speaker at the Pakistan Air Force Headquarters and leading academic institutions such as NUST, SZABIST, and the University of Education, Lahore. Her initiatives such as the “Be Your Own Lawyer” awareness series and regular legal literacy campaigns highlight her commitment to empowering citizens through knowledge of the law.
